In the northeast a clean up at the beginning and end of every season is essential. Included in our spring service is dethatching. Dethatching removes all the dead grass and matting down of the lawn from snow and winter weather allowing it to “breathe” while also allowing nutrients into the soil. We also clean up any leaves, sticks and debris as well as clean out any flower beds and put new edges on them. In the fall getting all the leaves off the grass before the winter weather comes shouldn’t be ignored. Once those thick patches of leaves get snowed on and frozen to the ground you end up with dead patches of grass everywhere when spring comes around. Nobody likes picking up leaves so let us take care of it!
